Why did you decide to pursue a career in Massage Therapy?

I decided to pursue a career massage therapy in honor of my late father, whom I felt never gave eastern medicine, much thought. He may still be around today if he had.

What was your favorite part of the massage program?

My favorite part of the massage program was hands-on learning with Tedy every week. His captivating energy and charisma is almost unmatched. Honestly, just coming to school every day, being able to be around people that were just as passionate about healing was a treat and i miss it everyday.

What was your favorite hands on modality to learn?

Fav modalities were definitely TPT & Reflxgy (Thai was also amazing and so much fun)

What was the most valuable take-aways?

It’s hard to say what the most valuable take away was as there was so much content of value in the course. Kinesiology knowledge is a must, and I would definitely say it takes me far and helps me stand out as a therapist. and then Tedy and his self maintenance and body mechanics being drilled into me was obviously crucial and i’m literally grateful for it all the time.

What are you looking forward to learning more about when you graduate?

Considering the fact that I’ve already graduated I would say something that I’m looking forward to learning more about is myofascial release & PNF because we didn’t learn too much of it & i know it’s magical work.

How has ISHA changed your perspective?

I personally believe that ISHA taught me to be my best self and helped me learn how to cultivate more of a healing energy on a daily basis.

What specific strengths have you discovered about yourself?

A specific strength that I have discovered about myself is that I have healing hands, and when I apply myself to a subject that I am passionate about, I can learn very quickly!

What massage therapy setting do you see yourself utilizing your acquired skills?

As of right now, I am currently utilizing my massage therapy skills in a spa setting. Although, I am looking forward to eventually opening and starting my own out-call business.

What is your biggest piece of advice for anyone interested in joining this program?

My biggest piece of advice for anyone joining this program is to spend merely 25 minutes a night studying, or throughout your day. just find 25 minutes to study a day and you will never worry about your grade in the class ever. LEARN TO HAVE FUN WITH KINESIOLOGY! ITS GOING TO BE YOUR BREAD & BUTTER AS A MASSAGE THERAPIST!

What is your current mission statement?

My current mission statement is to provide a relaxing, yet clinical experience, where one can unwind & decompress, while simultaneously receiving therapeutic care.
